A Little Update with Pictures!

Hey y'all! Sorry I've been away for so long! Life has been super busy lately. Here's a little update in picture form:

My precious hubby turned 30!

My friend Angie from Royal Cookies and Design made him these adorable cookies of his favorite things.

We kicked off Fall Break by going to Lake Tahoe!

Spent some time with this cutie!

And now for the  BIG news! I was offered a position at my school as an Academic Interventionist! I've always dreamed of being an interventionist! It was a hard decision to leave my class in the middle of the year, but I agreed when they told me they were going to offer my teaching position to one of our amazing faculty members.

I spent the rest of my fall break transforming my new office. Here is the before:

 And the after:

Teaching space

This small back room is my personal office space.

I also got to put my notice sewing skills to good use. I made the chevron curtains and pillows. :)

Be sure to check back in tomorrow. I'm going to have a week full of fun giveaways to celebrate these wonderful new changes and this amazing fall weather!

Bird Classroom Themes

I don't know what it is about birds, but they make just the cutest classroom decorations. I've made several products devoted to my love of all things birdie. One of my favorite products is my bird color word set. You can see them at the top of my wall in this picture:

I have several other bird products in my classroom. They can be purchased as a bundle or individually.

Math Center Labels

I always start the year with a beautifully organized math center. Then by the second week of school, the counting bears are mixed in with the pattern blocks and the base tens are everywhere. I decided to get serious about math center organization this year. I created math center labels with pictures. Now my little firsties will have no doubt where their math materials belong. Free Winter Desk Name Tags

I created some fall name plates a few weeks ago and one of my sweet teammates just requested some winter ones. I used precious clip art from MelonHeadz Illustrating. Click on the pictures below to download 7 free winter name tags.

Where, Oh Where Has This Little Blog Gone?

Hi sweet bloggy friends! I apologize for my long absence. Believe it or not, I just started my second week of school. My charter school has shorter summers and longer breaks throughout the year. During fall break, I adore this schedule but, it sure is hard to go back to work in the middle of July. I completely redid my classroom over the summer. I'm planning on taking lots of pictures this week and posting them. Until then, here's a little sneak peek into my new owl themed classroom.

My rocking chair that I painted over the summer

Writing center and art center

I created several new products over the summer and I have a lot of freebies to share. I'll post about those throughout the week.
