Math Journal Monday, 3-D Shape Word Problems

This week in kindergarten we're working on 3-D shapes. We're using several activities from my 3-D shapes unit. I created the unit last year when I was teaching first grade so I recently created some new pages that will work a little better in a kindergarten class. I'll add the new pages to the blog for free throughout the week. The first freebie is a set of 3-D shape word problems.

Coin Recognition Makes "Cents"

We learned about coin recognition last week in my class. When I gave my students the pre-test, the results were pretty scary. I knew that I needed to come up with a lot of hands on ways to introduce coin names so I created a new money unit. I'm happy to say that on Friday all of my kids made a 100 on the post test. I just love it when that happens. :)

Addition and Subtraction Unit

Hi Friends! I apologize for the long blogging absence. I'm teaching kinder this year and it is so fun, but it does consume most of my energy. I've been creating units and resources all year, but haven't found the time to post them yet. Well, that changes today. :) I'll be posting free resources and unit descriptions all week.

Today I want to share with you a unit I created to introduce and review mixed addition and subtraction. It includes posters, center activities and worksheets for students to practice this skill. Click on the picture below to check it out.

The first two people to comment on this post will receive this unit for free. Have a great weekend!
